Daxxify
The Peptide-Powered Neuromodulator
Smooth movement. Soften lines. Keep looking like you.
At Vespera, I don't believe the goal of a neurotoxin treatment should be to freeze your personality out of your face.
The goal is intentional movement reduction, balanced facial expression, prevention of deeper expression lines, and results that still look like you.
That's why Daxxify® is the neuromodulator I choose to carry at Vespera.
WHAT IT IS
A cosmetic neurotoxin, also called a neuromodulator, is an injectable medication that temporarily reduces communication between targeted nerves and muscles.
Every time you frown, squint, raise your eyebrows, or make other facial expressions, your muscles contract and repeatedly fold the skin above them.
Over time, those repeated movements can contribute to expression lines that eventually remain visible even when your face is resting.
Neuromodulators temporarily reduce selected muscle activity, allowing the overlying skin to appear smoother while helping prevent those repetitive folds from becoming increasingly etched into the skin.
Think of it this way:
Skincare treats the skin.
Neuromodulators treat the movement underneath it.
That's why I don't believe tox replaces skincare or that skincare replaces tox.
They're different tools doing different jobs.
WHAT IS DAXXIFY?
Daxxify® (daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm) is an FDA-approved botulinum toxin type A neuromodulator.
What makes Daxxify different is its formulation.
Daxxify is the first and only peptide-formulated neuromodulator and does not use human serum albumin as its stabilizer.
Its proprietary positively charged peptide helps stabilize the active ingredient and contributes to the product's unique formulation.
WHY DOES THAT MATTER?
It gives me a neuromodulator that is:
Fast-acting.
Long-lasting.
Peptide-formulated.
Albumin-free.
And that's exactly the direction I want Vespera to go.
WHY I LOVE DAXXIFY
I'm very intentional about what I bring into Vespera.
I don't carry five different versions of something simply so I can say I have five options.
I would rather find the product I believe in, learn it extremely well, understand how it behaves in different faces, and become consistent with it.
That's what happened with Daxxify.
I originally became interested because of the science behind its peptide formulation.
Then I fell in love with the results.
I love its:
Fast onset
Long duration
Smooth, gradual wearing-off period
Peptide-based formulation
Albumin-free formulation
Predictable results when appropriately dosed
Ability to create anything from subtle movement reduction to a smoother aesthetic based on the patient's goals
That's why Daxxify is currently the only neuromodulator I carry.
More products don't automatically mean better medicine.
Sometimes better medicine means knowing exactly why you're choosing the product sitting on your shelf.

FAQ’s
-
Daxxify temporarily blocks the release of acetylcholine, the chemical messenger responsible for telling a muscle to contract.
Less acetylcholine reaching the targeted muscle means:
Less muscle contraction → less repetitive folding of the skin → smoother expression lines.
The effect is temporary.
Over time, neuromuscular communication gradually returns and normal movement progressively comes back.
That's why your results don't suddenly disappear overnight.
They gradually soften.
-
Typically within 48 hours.
One of my favorite things about Daxxify is how quickly patients can begin noticing a change.
Clinical studies found that results can begin as early as the next day and typically become noticeable within approximately 2 days.
That doesn't mean you're seeing your final result at 48 hours.
The treatment continues settling in over the following days.
I evaluate your final result at approximately 2 weeks.
So don't panic on Day 2 because one eyebrow is still moving.
Give your tox time to cook.
-
This is where Daxxify really stands apart.
In clinical studies of glabellar lines, more than half of patients still had none or only mild frown lines at approximately 6 - 9 months.
The median time for wrinkle severity to return to baseline in pivotal studies was approximately 6.5 months.
Some patients may experience effects beyond this timeframe, while others metabolize their treatment sooner.
Your results are individual.
How long a neuromodulator lasts can vary based on factors such as:
Dose
Treatment area
Muscle strength
Facial anatomy
Individual response
Previous neuromodulator exposure
Treatment technique
Metabolism
My goal isn't to sell you nine months. My goal is to give you a treatment plan that works for your face.

This is where The Vespera Method comes in.
Your Daxxify and your skin health are related but they're not the same thing.
Medical-grade skincare, sunscreen, nutrition, hydration, sleep, smoking, alcohol consumption, stress, hormones, and overall health all influence how your skin ages and looks.
They should not be presented as proven ways to make the pharmacologic effect of Daxxify last longer.
But here's the important part:
Tox can soften movement. It cannot create healthy skin for you.
If we're reducing wrinkles caused by movement but ignoring:
UV damage
Collagen loss
Dehydration
Pigmentation
Poor skin-barrier health
Smoking
Nutrition
Lifestyle
Hormonal changes
Overall wellness
...we're only addressing one piece of aging.
That's why I combine aesthetics with regenerative treatments, medical-grade skincare, sunscreen, and wellness when appropriate.
Daxxify treats the movement.
Skincare treats the skin.
Regenerative aesthetics supports the tissue.
Wellness supports the person underneath all of it.
That's The Vespera Method.

First, we talk.
Before I inject anything, I want to understand:
What bothers you?
What do you want to keep?
How much movement do you want?
What does “natural” mean to you?
Then I evaluate your facial anatomy and watch how your muscles move.
You will make several expressions so I can assess the relationship between your muscles, brows, eyelids, and surrounding structures.
Your treatment is then mapped specifically to your anatomy and your goals.
The injections themselves are quick.
A very small needle is used to place Daxxify into targeted muscles.
Most appointments take only a few minutes once assessment and treatment planning are complete.
-
Very little.
Most patients return to normal daily activities immediately after their appointment.
You may temporarily experience:
Small bumps at injection sites
Mild redness
Tenderness
Minor swelling
Bruising
Headache
The tiny injection-site bumps typically settle quickly.
Bruising, if it occurs, can take several days to resolve.
-
Come with a clean face when possible and tell me about:
Prescription medications
Supplements
Blood thinners
Antibiotics
Muscle relaxants
Previous reactions to neuromodulators
Previous facial surgery
Neurologic or neuromuscular conditions
Problems swallowing or breathing
Pregnancy or plans for pregnancy
Breastfeeding
Any infection, rash, or irritation near the planned treatment area
Bruise easily?
Certain medications and supplements can increase bruising.
Do not stop a prescribed medication just to avoid a bruise unless the clinician who prescribed it tells you to.
Bruising is annoying.
Your health is more important.
-
Your treatment is done but give it a little time to settle.
For the first several hours:
Avoid rubbing or aggressively massaging the treated areas.
Avoid unnecessary pressure directly over injection sites.
Keep the area clean.
Follow the individualized instructions given at your appointment.
Unless I specifically instruct otherwise, you can generally return to normal daily activities.
Over the next 2 weeks:
Let the treatment develop.
Do not judge your final result after two days.
Small differences in onset between muscles can occur while everything is settling.
Your 2-week mark matters.
That's when I want to evaluate your final movement pattern and determine whether your treatment achieved the intended balance.
-
This part matters.
Daxxify units are not interchangeable with Botox®, Dysport®, Jeuveau®, Xeomin®, or other botulinum toxin products.
You may hear people compare Daxxify dosing to Botox using a ratio.
That does not mean Daxxify is weaker, stronger, cheaper, or more expensive based simply on the number of units.
Each product has its own potency assay and dosing system.
Don't shop for tox by comparing unit numbers.
Instead ask:
What are we treating?
What result are we trying to create?
What dose is appropriate for my anatomy?
That's a much better conversation.
-
I don't want every forehead walking out of my studio looking identical.
Some women want almost no movement.
Some want their lines softened but still want expression.
Some want preventative treatment.
Some want correction of established movement patterns.
Your face is not a template.
Your treatment shouldn't be either.
At Vespera, we start with your anatomy, your goals, and your comfort level.
Then we build from there.
Because the goal is intentional.
Reduce wrinkles and achieve a smoother, more youthful appearance with neurotoxin treatments.
