Meet Ezonica

From hardship to healing, from the Army to advanced practice, this is a vision for care that is ethical, trauma-informed, and centered on women.

A Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) candidate graduating in 2026 as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Ezonica is also a United States Army combat veteran and a lifelong advocate for women’s health, mental health, and equitable access to care.

Vespera Wellness & Aesthetics was not created solely to enhance beauty. It was built from lived experience.

As a proud Mexican-American, her upbringing included navigating limited resources and systemic barriers to healthcare. Access was not always consistent, and opportunities were not always equitable. These experiences revealed how easily individuals and families can become overlooked within systems not designed to support them.

Those experiences shaped a deeper purpose.

Military service became a pathway to education and growth, instilling resilience, discipline, and a profound sense of unity. The camaraderie and understanding that no one stands alone remain foundational values, now intentionally reflected in the care provided at Vespera.

Her doctoral quality improvement project focused on implementing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) screening in women’s primary care within the VA system, expanding trauma-informed access to mental health services. This work reinforced a core belief:

Health is not surface-level.
It is physiological.
It is emotional.
It is social.
It is systemic.

And it must be approached that way.

My Commitment

A deep commitment to education that supports continuous training and ongoing refinement of clinical knowledge. Areas of focus include women’s health, mental health, nervous system regulation, endocrine (hormone) science, skin health, gut health, and the social determinants that influence overall well-being.

This foundation supports informed advocacy, allowing each patient to make confident, empowered decisions about their health.

Dr. Korina Tanner, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Korina Tanner is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with over 25 years of clinical experience, bringing a deeply rooted, whole-person approach to both medicine and aesthetics.

Her philosophy of care is simple but intentional: take the time to listen, understand the full picture, and treat the individual, not just the concern. She emphasizes the foundations of true wellness: nutrition, movement, sleep, hormone balance, and nervous system health. Her guidance is thoughtful, honest, and grounded in what actually supports long-term well-being.

In aesthetic medicine, Dr. Tanner is known for her commitment to natural, refined results and patient safety. Her approach aligns with the belief that aesthetics should enhance, not alter, patients' sense of self.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Tanner lives in El Dorado County, where life is centered around family, land, and purpose. She and her husband are raising three children and share a home filled with an ever-growing list of foster animals, each one cared for, rehabilitated, and prepared for a loving home. Much of her time is spent on her ranch and in her barn, reflecting a life grounded in compassion, responsibility, and connection.

Her background spans the full spectrum of family medicine, from prenatal care and delivering babies to sports medicine, hormone optimization, and urgent care leadership. She has led and supervised teams of advanced practice providers and continues to bring that same level of oversight, mentorship, and clinical excellence into the aesthetic space.

Dr. Tanner’s presence at Vespera ensures that every treatment is supported by experienced medical leadership, ethical practice, and a commitment to care that goes deeper than surface-level results.
