Regenerative Aesthetics

Restore. Repair. Regenerate.

Regenerative aesthetics focuses on improving skin quality and function, not simply changing how you look.

Rather than relying only on treatments that temporarily alter appearance, regenerative treatments are designed to work with the body's natural repair and remodeling processes to support healthier-looking skin over time.

At Vespera, your treatment plan may combine medical microneedling, biostimulatory treatments, light-based therapy, platelet-derived treatments, and carefully selected professional skincare based on your skin, goals, medical history, and treatment tolerance.

Regenerative aesthetics may be used to address:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Acne scarring

  • Uneven texture

  • Enlarged pores

  • Hyperpigmentation and uneven tone

  • Loss of firmness and elasticity

  • Dull or aging skin

  • Overall skin quality

The goal isn't to make you look like someone else. It's to help your skin function and look its best.

MICRONEEDLING

Collagen + Elastin Remodeling

Microneedling uses very fine sterile needles to create controlled microchannels within the skin.

These micro-injuries activate the body's natural wound-healing cascade, stimulating fibroblast activity and supporting the production and remodeling of collagen and elastin.

WHY I LOVE IT

Microneedling can improve several concerns at once without dramatically changing your appearance.

It may help improve:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Acne scars

  • Uneven skin texture

  • Enlarged pores

  • Mild skin laxity

  • Uneven pigmentation

  • Overall skin quality

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Your skin may appear red, warm, tight, or mildly swollen immediately following treatment. This commonly improves over the next several days.

Collagen remodeling is gradual. Improvements continue to develop over the following weeks and months rather than appearing overnight.

A series of treatments is often recommended depending on your skin and goals.

SCULPTRA

Gradual Collagen Biostimulation

Sculptra® is an FDA-approved injectable containing poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid filler, Sculptra is primarily used as a collagen biostimulator.

Once injected, PLLA particles create a controlled tissue response that stimulates fibroblasts and encourages your body to gradually produce new collagen.

Instead of simply “filling” an area, the goal is to rebuild underlying support over time.

WHY I LOVE IT

I love Sculptra for patients who tell me:

"I don't necessarily want to look filled. I just feel like I've lost something."

That's where biostimulation shines.

Sculptra allows us to work gradually, encouraging your own collagen production rather than creating an immediate dramatic change.

It is especially useful when we're addressing age-related volume loss, facial support, skin quality, and collagen decline.

BENEFITS

Sculptra may help:

  • Stimulate new collagen production

  • Gradually restore age-related facial volume

  • Improve facial support and contour

  • Improve the appearance of skin firmness

  • Soften the appearance of folds and wrinkles

  • Create subtle, progressive rejuvenation

  • Produce results that continue developing over several months

COMMON TREATMENT AREAS

Depending on anatomy and treatment goals, Sculptra may be used for areas such as:

  • Cheeks and midface

  • Temples

  • Lower face

  • Jawline

  • Chin

  • Other areas when clinically appropriate

WHAT TO EXPECT

Immediately after treatment:

You may initially look fuller because of the sterile water used to prepare Sculptra and normal post-injection swelling. Much of this early fullness decreases over the following days.

Over the next several weeks:

Collagen production gradually increases. This is where the real Sculptra result begins.

Results:

Changes typically become progressively more noticeable over several weeks to months.

Treatment plan:

Many patients require a series of treatments rather than one appointment. The number of vials and sessions depends on your age, anatomy, degree of volume loss, existing collagen, and goals.

Longevity:

Results may last up to approximately 2 years in appropriately treated patients, although individual results vary.

Sculptra Is for the Patient Who Wants...

Gradual. Natural. Regenerative.

It isn't about waking up tomorrow looking like a different person.

It's about helping rebuild some of the structural support your skin has gradually lost.

rADIESSE +

Structure Now. Biostimulation Over Time.

Radiesse® is an injectable composed of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier.

What makes Radiesse unique is its dual action.

The gel provides immediate correction and structural support, while the CaHA microspheres create a scaffold that stimulates fibroblasts and supports the production of new extracellular-matrix components over time.

This makes Radiesse useful for both contouring and regenerative skin-quality treatments.

WHY I LOVE IT

Radiesse gives me versatility.

Depending on how it is prepared and where it is placed, I can use it very differently.

I can use Radiesse for structure and contour, or use a diluted/hyperdiluted technique when the primary goal is improving skin firmness, laxity, and quality rather than adding noticeable volume.

That's why I consider it one of my regenerative aesthetic treatments rather than simply another filler.

BENEFITS

Depending on the treatment technique, Radiesse may help:

  • Provide immediate structural support

  • Improve facial contour

  • Improve jawline definition

  • Restore selected areas of volume loss

  • Stimulate collagen production

  • Support elastin production and extracellular-matrix remodeling

  • Improve skin firmness

  • Improve the appearance of crepey or lax skin

  • Improve overall skin quality

TRADITIONAL RADIESSE

When used in its standard form, Radiesse acts as a structural injectable and biostimulator.

The gel carrier provides immediate correction while CaHA microspheres remain within the tissue and stimulate remodeling.

This can be particularly useful when we want definition, support, and biostimulation together.

HYPERDILUTE RADIESSE

When Radiesse is diluted or hyperdiluted, the goal changes.

Rather than primarily creating volume, the product is distributed across a larger treatment area to act predominantly as a biostimulatory treatment for skin quality.

Hyperdilute Radiesse may be considered for areas such as:

  • Neck

  • Décolleté

  • Jawline

  • Lower face

  • Arms

  • Hands

  • Other areas of skin laxity when appropriate

The goal is generally firmer, smoother, healthier-looking skin without making the area look “filled.”

WHAT TO EXPECT

Immediately after treatment:

Depending on the technique, you may notice immediate improvement from the gel carrier. Swelling, tenderness, bruising, redness, or temporary firmness can occur.

Over the following weeks and months:

Your body's remodeling response continues as fibroblasts interact with the CaHA microspheres.

This is when the regenerative component of the treatment becomes increasingly important.

Treatment plan:

Some patients may achieve their goal with one treatment, while regenerative or hyperdilute protocols may involve a series of sessions.

Your treatment plan depends on your anatomy, skin laxity, volume loss, treatment area, and goals.

Longevity:

Results commonly last a year or longer, but duration varies considerably by treatment area, technique, metabolism, and individual response.

Radiesse Is for the Patient Who Wants...

Structure + firmness + biostimulation.

It can give us something immediately while simultaneously encouraging your skin to remodel over time.

SCULPTRA VS. RADIESSE

Both are biostimulatory injectables, but I don't use them interchangeably.

SCULPTRA

Think: gradual rebuilding.

Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA)

Primarily a collagen biostimulator

Results develop gradually

Excellent for progressive restoration of facial support and volume

Usually performed as a treatment series

Designed for subtle, natural-looking change over time

RADIESSE

Think: structure + biostimulation.

Calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA)

Provides immediate structural correction when used conventionally

Stimulates longer-term tissue remodeling

Can be diluted/hyperdiluted when skin quality and firmness are the primary goals

Particularly versatile for contouring and areas of laxity

WHICH ONE IS BETTER?

Neither.

They're different tools.

I choose a biostimulator based on your anatomy, degree of volume loss, skin quality, age, treatment area, existing collagen, and what you actually want to accomplish.

Sometimes that means Sculptra.

Sometimes it means Radiesse.

Sometimes the best regenerative plan incorporates multiple modalities over time.

The goal isn't to use more products. It's to use the right treatment, for the right patient, for the right reason.
